Robbins- Industrial Site
Robbins- Industrial Site is a design-research project focused around resilience and community development in the City of Robbins, Illinois. The city is south of Chicago and was the first established-free African-American city and had the first Black airport.
The site was previously a waste-to-energy facility and development plans for this site included a bio digester and food distribution center as well as extending a planned "flood park" in the area.
This project was in fulfillment of coursework at Columbia University under the Sustainability Management program. Under the leadership of Professor Lynnette Widder in the Responsibility and Resilience in the Built Environment course in collaboration with peers; Julia Bontempo. Graham Higgins and Dmitriy Golodnikov
