Resilient Eastie
Resilient Eastie is a sustainable development plan for a waterfront community in East Boston. The plan seeks to restore the brownfield site and to establish natural wetlands according to the site's natural history and adjacent parks.
Resiliency was a key part of this plan as the community lies within the FEMA flood zones and as dangers of rising sea levels become more prevalent. The revitalization of the waterfront into both a public space and an environmental conservation effort is emphasized within this plan.
This project was in collaboration with other students from the Master of Design Studies at the Boston Architectural College in fulfillment of course work around Sustainable Cities.
